It is the wing commander's intent to offer standard service hours for reliability and for effective use of Airmen's time. The wing's customer support sections agree and have updated their service hours to better accommodate 173rd Fighter Wing Airmen.

As well as helping customers, the new schedule allows these sections to accomplish more of their work and training uninterrupted, according to Senior Master Sgt. Nicholas Figueroa, 173rd Fighter Wing Force Support Flight.

Kingsley Field has adopted new “walk-in” service hours for Medical Group (MDG), Comptroller Flight (CPTF), and the Force Support Flight (FSF). These three sections will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekly, scheduled workdays.

“We have not received any negative feedback since we’ve switched to our new hours,” said Figueroa. “The uniform hours for all of the service areas has allowed members to easily bounce between sections to accomplish their tasks more efficiently.”

The hours will change slightly for drill weekends. The FSF and CPTF will be open 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on drill weekends whereas the MDG will maintain appointment based services on drill weekends.

Knowing this timeframe may not work for swing shift hours, supervision is authorized and encouraged to work with members and allow compensation time if a member needs to come in early to accomplish tasks involving these customer service sections. Each of these customer service areas will still be available outside of walk-in hours by scheduling appointments ahead of time.

If a member has needs while walk-in hours are closed, they can contact the following numbers.

MDG can be contacted at 885-6312, CPTF can be contacted at 885-6309 or 885-6307, and FSF can be reached at 885-6133. After hour needs that cannot wait until the next business day can be directed through the members chain of command for timely resolution.
