CMSgt Levi R. Clarey is the Command Chief for the 173d Fighter Wing, Kingsley Field, Klamath Falls, Ore. He serves as the advisor to the Commander, and leads 814 total force personnel. He serves in a critical role as a key strategist, operational advisor, tactical partner, mentor, and advocate for the overall mission of the 173d Fighter Wing to train combat- ready Airmen and the greatest fighter pilots in the world.
Chief Clarey is from Klamath Falls, Oregon and entered the Oregon Air National Guard in February 1999 as a Security Forces member. His background includes serving as a squad leader, training and deployment manager, element leader, plans and programs NCOIC, and operations superintendent. Chief Clarey most recently served as the Mission Support Group and Maintenance Group Senior Enlisted Leader where he ensured the commander’s directions and policies were carried out. He was responsible for the professional development and proper utilization of the group’s enlisted force.
Chief Clarey has also participated in multiple deployments in support of humanitarian, contingency and combat operations in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and various Pacific regions. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the 173d Maintenance Group Senior Enlisted Leader.
