Chief Master Sergeant Patrick Burkhart

Chief Master Sergeant Patrick Burkhart is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 173rd Fighter Wing, Kingsley Field, Klamath Falls, Oregon. As Command Chief, he serves as the advisor to the commander and staff on matters of health, welfare, morale, professional development and effective utilization of 814 ANG enlisted personnel assigned to the wing.

Chief Master Sergeant Burkhart began his military career in November 1990 joining the 120th Fighter Wing, Montana Air National Guard, Great Falls, Mont. as an F-16 aircraft engine mechanic. From November 1992 through January 1993, while still serving with the Montana Air National Guard, Chief Burkhart was chosen to assist the Puerto Rico Air National Guard transition from A-7 to F-16 aircraft. In July 1993, Chief Burkhart took a position with the 141st Air Refueling Wing, Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington as a KC-135 aircraft engine mechanic and deployed in support for Operation Allied Force, Kosovo Campaign.

In December 1999, Chief Master Sergeant Burkhart accepted a fulltime position with the 173rd Maintenance Squadron, Kingsley Field, Klamath Falls, Ore. as an aircraft engine mechanic. He was involved in all areas of F-15 aircraft engine maintenance such as engine teardown/ build-up, troubleshooting and testing as well as the F-15 engine start system. In September 2010, Chief Burkhart was selected as the Propulsion Element Night Shift Supervisor. In October of 2011, he became the Propulsion Element Jet Engine Intermediate Maintenance Supervisor responsible for all major jet engine overhaul until his selection as Propulsion Superintendent in November 2014. Chief Burkhart became the Operations Compliance Superintendent for the 173rd Logistics Readiness Squadron in September 2016 overseeing the Quality Assurance, Training and Resource Advisor sections. In June 2018, Chief Burkhart was selected for the Chief of Supply, 173rd Logistics Readiness Squadron. Chief Master Sergeant Burkhart was selected for the Mission Support Group superintendent position in October of 2020 where he served until becoming the 173rd Fighter Wing Command Chief in September 2021.
