Miles "Batkid" Scott Pilot for a Day
Miles Scott, call sign,“Batkid”, reported for duty at the 173rd Fighter Wing in Klamath Falls, Ore., April 10, 2014. Scott is in remission from leukemia and had the opportunity to be a part of the Fighter Pilot for a Day program hosted by the 114th Fighter Squadron. He donned a flight suit and helmet and Maj. Richard Giampietri, F-15 instructor pilot, escorted Scott to watch take-offs up close and personal, sit in the cockpit of a jet, and meet the crew chief and other maintenance personnel.
