F-15 sustainment team visits 173rd, gets ground-level input from maintainers
U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. David Chinander, 173rd Maintenance Group, explains to Maj. Gen. T. Glenn Davis, the mobilization assistant to the commander, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, how a tool designed and fabricated locally in the 173rd Sheet Metal shop helps save lost sorties, manpower and perhaps millions of dollars. Without this fixture an aircraft has to go to depot maintenance in Georgia incurring those costs and removing it from the fleet until it returns. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt.
