F-15s Fly the Missing Man Formation
These F-15s execute the Missing Man Formation where one aircraft departs the formation in a steep climb at the moment they pass over the memorial service for a fallen pilot. The 173rd Fighter Wing performed this type of flyover for Lt. Col. Karl Garlock who retired from the wing in 1969, after a distinguished flying record in WWII that included time as a prisoner of war.
