  • PT test pushed to July, updates to scoring, physical components ahead

    When assessments resume, the three-component fitness test (1.5 mile run, 1 minute of pushups and situps) will be reset with scores calculated on a new three component scoring table. In addition, work is underway to separate scoring into five-year age groups as opposed to the previous ten – for example, age groups will start at <25, 25-29 years old, 30-34, years old, etc.
  • The first set of COVID-19 vaccines administered at Kingsley Field

    The initial shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine arrived early this week at Kingsley Field. On Wednesday, February 10 and Friday, February 12 all 100 doses of the shipment were administered to Kingsley Field personnel in the 173rd Medical Group.
  • Team Kingsley Deploys for COVID-19 Vaccination Support in Southern Oregon

    Volunteer Airmen from the 173rd Fighter Wing are currently operating on State Active Duty as part of Task Force Guardian, supporting COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Southern Oregon. Team Kingsley personnel are performing three separate missions: administering COVID-19 vaccine to high-risk populations and essential workers, working traffic control in order to maintain safety at the clinics, and performing administrative management of all the records that go along with a large-scale medical operation.

  • 173rd FW forced to cancel Sentry Eagle exercise and Open House

    The decision to cancel the exercise and Open House came after weeks of discussions primarily focused on COVID-19. Kingsley Field commanders and the Sentry Eagle project officer, Lt. Col. Adam Gaudinski, determined there were significant risks in hosting the public and other military units while adhering to Governor Brown’s Executive Orders and Department of Defense policy regarding COVID-19.
