COVID VACCINE INFORMATION

On Jan. 30, 2020, the World Health Organization declared a public health emergency of international concern for the 2019 novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. On Jan. 31, 2020, the secretary of Health and Human Services declared a public health emergency in the United States and announced new measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The current epidemic, which originated in mainland China, has demonstrated the capacity of COVID-19 to spread globally. While supporting other government agencies’ response to the COVID-19 threat, the Department of the Air Force is responding appropriately to protect the health of the force and maintain operational readiness.

If not feeling well stay home for 48-72 hours for self monitoring. If symptoms lesson without medication, you may return to work.
If experiencing an emergency such as difficulty breathing, call 911.
If sick (fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath) – STAY HOME and inform supervisor. Plan on 14-day quarantine with confirmed COVID-19 by your primary care provider.
1. Call your primary care provider for medical screening. If you do not have a primary care provider, contact your Chief or Commander and they will coordinate a triage assessment with our local MDG.
Return to work criteria:
1. Completion of 14-day quarantine, if required, with no illness.
2. 7-days after initial symptoms and 72-hours with no medication to treat fever and other symptoms subsiding.
3. Cleared by primary care provider or MDG.
4. Approved by supervisor.

173rd Fighter Wing Change of Command

173rd Fighter Wing

An official change of command ceremony for the 173rd Fighter Wing took place on June 1, 2019 at Kingsley Filed in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Colonel Jeff Edwards accepted command of the wing as Colonel Jeff Smith retired after 24 years of service.
