  • 173rd FW First in ANG to Join Groundbreaking Health Promotion Study

    The 173rd Fighter Wing is employing a promising approach to help members assess their habits and behaviors and make needed changes. Previous studies have shown that even high achieving Airman can wrestle with problems that they hide from others and are reluctant to seek help for--such as drinking too much, abuse from a partner, depression, and even suicidal thoughts. One way to help is to prevent these problems from developing in the first place. That’s the purpose of NORTH STAR, a program utilized by the active duty Air Force.

  • 173rd FW SAPR team hosts “Race to Zero” 5K Run/Walk

    The 173rd Fighter Wing Sexual Assault Prevention and Response team hosted the first, annual “Race to Zero” 5K Run/Walk April 8, 2018 at the Klamath Falls airport. There were 71 participants who joined in on the event, despite the chilly, windy weather.

  • Kingsley Field Fire Department Triumphs at Seattle Stair Climb

    On March 11, 2018 fire fighters from the Kingsley Field Fire Department placed third in the 27th Annual Seattle Stair Climb to raise money for leukemia and lymphoma research. Additionally, Assistant Fire Chief of Training, Derek Sherrell, placed second in the event with a time of 10:58, three seconds behind the first place climber.

  • Kingsley Field celebrates unprecedented lease extension until 2095

    The 173rd Fighter Wing celebrated the longest lease extension in the Air Force. A ceremony at the base marked the 50 year extension, that leads the base out until 2095.
